Demonstration of the Iranians, Supporters of the MEK, Continued for the 2nd Day in Front of the Stockholm Court Against the Executioner Hamid Noury – August 11, 2021

Iranians, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), held a protest rally on August 11, 2021, for the second day in Sweden, simultaneous with the trial of the henchman Hamid Noury.

Noury is being tried for his role in the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran, mostly members and supporters of the MEK.

On the second day of the trial, the prosecutor continued the indictment by reading Khomeini’s criminal fatwa on the execution of the MEK prisoners. Referring to several articles of the Fourth Geneva Convention, including Articles 3 and 75 of the Convention, he said that the execution of the MEK prisoners under this fatwa was a grave violation of the Geneva Convention.

The prosecutor added that what was done in the international tribunal for war crimes in Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia is entirely in line with this conclusion.

Demonstrators outside the courthouse chanted slogans such as:

“The people have not forgotten the murderer of 1988”, “Who is the 1988 executioner?” “Raisi, Raisi,” “the slogan of every Iranian is to seek justice,” and “Hail to the steadfast Mojahed, “30,000 executed, down with Khamenei, down with Raisi. “
