Stockholm, August 12, 2021 – The third session of trial of the Henchman Hamid Noury, one of the perpetrators of the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988, ended at 11:45 AM on Thursday, in the Swedish Central Court.
The court session was also dedicated to the reading of the indictment by the prosecutor, and the prosecutor explained in detail the beginning of the massacre and the transfer of the prisoners to the death row.
Prosecutor: “The death squad asked the prisoners if they were willing to condemn the Mojahedin and its leadership. Prisoners would be executed if they refused. “If a prisoner said I was a Mojahed, he would be executed.”
The prosecutor mentioned the names of numerous members and supporters of the MEK executed in August 1988, citing the testimonies of Mojahedin political prisoners based in Ashraf 3.
The prosecutor described the role of the 1988 executioner as Hamid Noury in transferring the MEK prisoners to the death squad, then in the corridor of death and the place of execution.
The fourth hearing of the henchman Hamid Noury Court will take place next Tuesday, August 17, in the Swedish Central Court.
