Sweden, Stockholm – Demonstrations by the MEK Supporters at the Same Time as Executioner Hamid Noury’s Trial

August 10, 2021: Sweden, Stockholm – The trial of Hamid Noury(Nouri), a henchman of the regime’s Gohardasht Prison, at the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, started on Tuesday morning, August 10. PMOI/MEK supporters gathered in front of the court at the same time as the trial.

Noury is being tried for his role in the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran, mostly members and supporters of Hamid Noury (also known as Hamid Abbasi) was one of the henchmen involved in the massacre as the assistant to the deputy Prosecutor in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj (west of Tehran). He was the executioner of numerous prisoners. Several years ago, the Iranian Resistance identified him as one of the perpetrators of the 1988 massacre.

In 1988, Noury was transferred to Gohardasht prison in Karaj, west of Tehran, where he played an active role in the massacre of political prisoners on the then supreme leader Rouhollah Khomeini’s decree.

Supporters of the MEK and relatives of the 1988 massacre’s martyrs and many others of our compatriots planned a large gathering. However, the court and the police allowed a maximum of 50 MEK supporters and relatives to gather in front of the court due to space restrictions. Complainants and witnesses of the crime were also present among the supporters of the MEK.

As the trial began at 9:15 AM, more than 300 MEK supporters and relatives of the executed political prisoners in the 1988 massacre were present at the scene, and the population continued to grow.

At 1030 AM, read the indictment. Simultaneously with the trial, several plaintiffs, and witnesses to the regime’s atrocities in the massacre of political prisoners in 1988, recounted aspects of the horrors and the regime’s conspiracies against the seeking justice movement for the victims of the 1988 massacre.

Demonstrators, the PMOI/MEK supporters at the same time as henchman Hamid Noury’s trial, were chanting “Death to Khamenei, Raisi,” “Damn Khomeini”!
