November 1, 2021 — Glasgow: On Monday, November 1, freedom-loving Iranians, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) staged a protest rally in the city at the same time as the Glasgow Climate Change Summit.
At this rally, supporters of the Iranian Resistance chanted slogans against the mullahs’ regime and its leaders, such as Ali Khamenei and Ebrahim Raisi.
They called for an international trial of the regime leaders, Khamenei and Raisi, for crimes against humanity.
The current president of the regime, Ebrahim Raisi, a main member of the “death commission” in the summer of 1988, played a key role in the massacre of more than 30,000 political prisoners, mainly supporters and members of the MEK.
Mr. Hossein Abedini, Deputy Representative of the National Council of Resistance(NCRI) in the United Kingdom, and Mr. Struan Stevenson, former Member of the European Parliament, addressed the demonstrators.
Mr. Abedini at the rally of NCRI supporters during the COP26 summit in Glasgow said, “Our message today to the world leaders attending “Glasgow Cop26” is clear and simple:It is time to join the Iranian people and their Resistance in rejecting the regime in Iran in its entirety.”
Former MEP Mr.Struan Stevenson at the rally in Glasgow said, “Raisi is the zombie president of a dying regime. He realized that he is unable to travel freely to the West, or indeed to any civilized nation, due to his pariah status as the “Butcher of Tehran.”
Mr. Stevenson added, “Raisi knows that, even as a serving president, he cannot rely on diplomatic immunity to avoid arrest. There is a cell waiting for Raisi at the ICC in The Hague for crimes against humanity and genocide.”
Also, Mr. Hossein Abedini interviewed reporters, during the rally.
