Request for Life Imprisonment for the Executioner of the 1988 Massacre, Hamid Noury by the Stockholm District Prosecutor

Thursday, April 28, 2022: The trial of Hamid Noury one of the executioners of the 1988 massacre, continued in the Stockholm District Court. At the second hearing of the final defense stage to file an indictment, the prosecutor presented his final findings.
At this hearing, on the second day of his final indictment, the prosecutor applied for a life sentence for Hamid Noury for his involvement in the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Gohardasht Prison.

Citing clear evidence and the testimony of many eyewitnesses, the prosecutor rejected the Noury’s statements denying the crimes committed in Gohardasht prison and his active role in these crimes, and said: “Therefore, Hamid Noury, given the number of victims, should be convicted of a serious crime against human rights, in addition to crimes against humanity, he must be convicted under the second paragraph. Given the greatness of this crime, there is no sentence other than life imprisonment.”

Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chairman Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran(NCRI) in this regard said:

Swedish prosecutors request life in prison for Iran regime operative Hamid Noury for severe crimes against humanity over his direct role in the 1988 massacre of political prisoners.
This accusation was justified by evidence from opposition MEK before and after Nouri’s arrest.

Twenty-five years ago, the MEK published 3 documents proving Noury’s role. Confirming the accusations without MEK evidence and witnesses would’ve been very difficult, raising the possibility of Noury’s acquittal. That’s why Iran’s regime+operatives sought to keep the MEK out of the dossier.

Iran’s regime and operatives resorted to slander and psych warfare to divert the Justice Movement and have Noury acquitted. The MEK neutralized this plot.

Justice Movement continues until Khamenei, Raisi and other regime officials are prosecuted in a free Iran for crimes against humanity.

Iranian Resistance Supporters Rally and Their Joy at the Requested Sentence

At the same time to the 88th session of the court, freedom-loving Iranians, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), rallied outside the court session of Iran’s regime executioner Hamid Noury for justice.

MEK supporters are seeking justice for 30,000 political prisoners executed by the mullahs’ regime in the 1988 massacre in prisons across the country.

Iranian Resistance supporters and 1988 massacre‘s martyrs families, called on the international community to prosecute the mullahs’ regime leaders, especially supreme leader Ali Khamenei, the mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi and the regimes’ judiciary chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei, for four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide.

Freedom-loving Iranians, MEK supporters and the families of the 1988 massacre victims, rejoiced after hearing the request for a life sentence for the executioner Hamid Noury by the prosecutor.
