May 27, 2022: Thousands of people took to the streets in various Iranian cities on Friday night, May 27, in solidarity with the people of Abadan in Khuzestan province, in southwest Iran, holding demonstrations and chanting anti-regime slogans.

May 25, 2022, Zurich, Switzerland: Iranian Resistance(MEK and NCRI) supporters held a rally in support of the Iran protests and to commemorate, anniversary of the martyrdom of the founders of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran(PMOI/MEK).
Following the collapse of the 10-story Metropol complex building in Abadan on May 23, people outraged at the regime’s corrupt establishment that failed to heed the warnings and demonstrated a flawed rescue operation have taken to the streets and are chanting slogans against state officials.

Mohammad Hanifnejad and two other founders, Saeid Mohsen and Asghar Badizadegan, along with two members of the Mojahedin Central Committee, Mahmoud Asgarizadeh and Rasoul Meshkinfam, were handed over to the firing squad on May 25, 1972.
