An exhibition held this week in Paris at Les Invalides square commemorated the martyrs of Iran protests with pictures of rebellious towns.
A number of French MPs attended the exhibition and supported Iran protests.
In this program, French MP, Andre Chassaigne, Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Democratic Iran declared his solidarity with Iran protests and the Iranian people’s resistance.
André Chassaigne: What shows its importance in the context of the Iranian people’s struggle with the regime is the plan of the National Council of Resistance for Iran‘s future. This plan respects human rights at a high level.
It recognizes gender equality, secularism, a balanced plan for peace.
So, our support is not just humanitarian but, it is a defense of the values that I hope will be established in Iran. You have widespread international support. Thousands of personalities around the world support you in all political orientations and parties. French MPs from all parties are with you.
You can count on our firm, rational and heartfelt support for your progressive plan for the future of Iran
Another French MP, Nadia Essayan of the centrist group MoDem and a member of the parliamentary committee for democratic Iran, said in her speech:
“I send a message of solidarity to the Iranian people who like many other people want to live in freedom and peace. We are here to call for better days for the Iranian people and express our concern about what is happening to them and wish them all courage. “
At Les Invalides square Exhibition in commemoration of the martyrs of Iran protests, Hervé Saulignac, another French MP and a member of parliamentary committee for democratic Iran, referred to his recent remarks in parliament in support of the protests and said, :Last week in parliament I questioned the French government.
I asked them about the events of November 15, what is the reason for their silence ? …. France should say loudly and strongly what is going on in Iran, is unacceptable. The international community must come together, not only to expose the crimes but also to take measures to end this regime. This regime remains at power so long, though it has become very fragile. There is a parliamentary committee, active for democratic Iran in the National parliament. What brings us together is our humanitarian will.
