Brussels Rally—February 21, 2024: Condemning the Rising Rate of Executions in Iran and Supporting Political Refugees

The Iranian community in Belgium, in collaboration with the International Freedom of Speech Alliance and the International Association of Culture and Human Rights, organized a rally in Brussels on February 21, 2024, in front of the Commissariat General.

The rally aimed to condemn the escalating wave of executions in Iran and draw attention to the demands of Iranian political refugees, urging European governments to acknowledge the Iranian regime as a primary instigator of conflict and instability in the Middle East. The call is for a decisive policy stance against the mullahs, recognizing the Iranian people’s right to resist and overthrow the oppressive regime.

The Iranian Community Rally in Brussels underscores the dire plight of refugees in Belgium, particularly those fleeing political persecution in Iran, demanding swift action from the Belgian government. In light of the ongoing terrorist threats targeting political refugees in Europe emanating from the Iranian regime, prolonged delays in processing refugee cases, and inadequate accommodation exacerbate concerns within the Iranian community in Belgium.
