Gothenburg, Sweden—June 15, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized a rally in solidarity with the Iranian Revolution.
Iranians commemorated the birthday of Majidreza Rahnavard, a young Iranian protester who was executed during the 2022 uprising in the city of Mashhad by the religious dictatorial regime ruling Iran. They also demanded the release of all political prisoners.
MEK supporters in Gothenburg demanded the trial of the mullahs’ regime leaders for crimes against humanity, in an international court.
The members of Iranian community in Gothenburg endorsed Maryam Rajavi’s ten-point plan for Iran’s future and invited all freedom-loving Iranians to participate in the great gathering of Free Iran on June 29, 2024, in Berlin.
The Iranian community in Gothenburg emphasized the Iranian people seeking a democratic republic and rejecting any kind of dictatorship, be it the mullahs or a return to that of Shah’s regime.
The organizers of the rally in Gothenburg also demanded that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) be designated as a terrorist organization by the European Union.
In addition, Iranian Resistance supporters in Gothenburg urged the international community to support the Iranian Revolution, take a firm stance against the oppressive regime of the mullahs, and recognize the right of self-defense for the Iranian people against the religious dictatorship.
