MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan: “Executions Will Accelerate the Iranian Regime’s Downfall”

MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan – November 29, 2024

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) Resistance Units in Zahedan, the capital city of southeastern Baluchestan province, intensified their campaign against the Iranian regime on November 29, 2024, reaffirming their dedication to regime change and the establishment of a democratic republic.

This surge in resistance activities occurs amid increasing state repression, marked by a rise in executions aimed at silencing dissent. Despite the regime’s efforts to quash opposition, the Resistance Units have broadened their outreach, delivering a steadfast message of defiance and a commitment to persist in their struggle until the regime is dismantled.

At the heart of their campaign are slogans that articulate their demands and vision for Iran’s future. Among the messages disseminated throughout Zahedan, they declared, “Iran will become the most beautiful country and a haven of freedom and justice.” This hopeful outlook sharply contrasts with their critique of the current regime, which they liken to the former Shah‘s rule, asserting that “Like the Shah, the mullahs’ regime has no other option than killing and repression, but it will only bring itself closer to its overthrow.”

The Resistance Units emphasize the connection between societal issues in Iran and the ruling regime, stating that “The current problems of society are caused by the mullahs’ regime.” They encourage action with statements like “To free the people and the country, we only rely on ourselves,” asserting that societal problems will only be resolved after the mullahs’ regime is overthrown. This reflects their belief in the potential for change driven by the Iranian people.

Their banners and leaflets also urge citizens to rise against the regime, proclaiming, “Rebels must rise and overthrow the tyrannical regime.” A significant aspect of their messaging targets the regime’s security forces, asserting, “We have the right to resist against the IRGC and the regime’s agents.” They further emphasize that “Dictators, the more you arrest and kill, the closer you get to your overthrow,” suggesting an inevitable decline in the regime’s power.

In light of threats of violent repression, the Resistance Units assert that such actions by the regime are precursors to its downfall. They declare, “The regime is inching toward its collapse. We will accomplish the democratic revolution ourselves.” A direct message aimed at Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei states, “Khamenei should know that we will respond to executions with uprisings.”

As these events unfold, Zahedan exemplifies the ongoing tensions between the Iranian regime and its opponents who remain resolute in their pursuit of a new era defined by freedom and justice in Iran.
