Dorchester, UK – February 6, 2025: The Academics in Exile Association, in support of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), hosted a book and photo exhibition to protest the death sentences handed down to political prisoners linked to the PMOI. The organizers strongly denounced the Iranian regime’s continued human rights violations and expressed their solidarity with the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom.
The exhibition highlighted Iran’s worsening human rights crisis, focusing on the plight of political prisoners facing execution. It also called for the immediate release of all individuals unjustly detained by the ruling regime.
Additionally, the event urged the UK government to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and to close the Iranian regime’s embassy, citing its role in espionage and terrorism. Members of Dorchester’s Iranian community called for the international prosecution of Iran’s leaders for crimes against humanity.
The Academics In Exile Association stated on X platform:
“Today 06/02/2025 Our book stand in #Dorchester received great support! Many people signed our petition calling for regime change, supporting a republic in #Iran, and condemning executions and torture. The fight for justice and freedom continues!“
