Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan Province – July 25, 2025
MEK Resistance Units in Zahedan commemorated the 37th anniversary of Operation Eternal Light (Forough-e Javidan) with a bold and coordinated campaign. This operation, launched by the National Liberation Army (NLA) in July 1988, was a major milestone in Iran’s resistance history. It remains a powerful symbol of heroic sacrifice and hope for national liberation.
This week, Resistance Units organized anti-regime displays across public areas in Zahedan. Through banners, placards, and protest visuals, they honored over 1,300 fallen NLA fighters who gave their lives for Iran’s freedom. They also reaffirmed their determination to continue that legacy.
Describing Operation Eternal Light as a historic turning point, Resistance Units noted how the campaign shook the regime’s foundations by reaching the gates of Kermanshah. Today, they say, its spirit continues through the actions of MEK Resistance Units across the country.
Despite strict surveillance and heavy security, these activists called for the overthrow of the regime through organized resistance. They rejected foreign intervention or appeasement. Instead, they supported the “Third Option” proposed by Maryam Rajavi: a democratic revolution led by the people and their organized resistance.
