Düsseldorf, Sept 17, 2025: Iranians Rally on 3rd Anniversary of 2022 Uprising

Düsseldorf, Germany — September 17, 2025

Düsseldorf, Germany — September 17, 2025: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally in Düsseldorf. The event marked the third anniversary of the 2022 nationwide uprising and showed solidarity with the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom and a democratic republic.

Honoring the Martyrs and Opposing Dictatorship

The rally displayed photos honoring the martyrs of the 2022 uprising and commemorated their sacrifice for freedom. Through placards, banners, and collective chants, participants demanded a firm international policy against Iran’s religious dictatorship. They also condemned ongoing appeasement toward the regime, which continues to oppress the Iranian people—especially women and youth.

In addition, demonstrators paid tribute to the heroic martyrs. These included two members of the MEK, Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani, as well as Mehran Bahramian, a fighter of the 2022 uprising from the city of Semirom. All three were executed by the clerical regime.

Protesters also denounced the regime’s brutal repression of women under the pretext of enforcing compulsory hijab. They celebrated the courageous resistance of Iranian women with the rallying cry: “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”

Calls for Justice and a Democratic Future

Moreover, participants demanded the complete abolition of the death penalty in Iran. They also called for the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners, particularly those facing imminent execution. Placards and slogans further urged that senior regime officials be brought before an international tribunal to face justice for crimes against humanity.

The Iranian community in Düsseldorf stressed the people’s aspiration for a democratic republic. They rejected all forms of dictatorship—whether the ruling clerical regime or a return to the Shah’s rule.

Finally, the demonstration concluded with strong calls for recognition of the Iranian Resistance. Participants emphasized the right of the Iranian people and MEK Resistance Units inside Iran to defend themselves in their ongoing struggle against tyranny and dictatorship.
