Copenhagen rally denounces Iran’s executions, marks 100th “No to Executions” week

Copenhagen, Denmark – December 23, 2025 – Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered in Copenhagen to protest the Iranian regime’s escalating use of the death penalty, particularly against political prisoners. Freedom-loving Iranians and MEK supporters emphasized the urgent need to end all executions in Iran and voiced strong support for the Iranian people’s ongoing struggle against tyranny.

This rally also coincided with the 100th consecutive week of protests by political prisoners across 55 prisons in Iran, reflecting a growing movement of resistance and underscoring the pressing need for international attention and action.

The event called for the complete abolition of capital punishment in Iran and the unconditional release of all political prisoners, especially those facing imminent execution. Organizers also urged that senior regime officials be held accountable before an international tribunal for crimes against humanity. The demonstrators in Copenhagen also called for the expulsion of the regime’s terrorists from Denmark and the closure of the regime’s embassy in Copenhagen.

The rally backed NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi’s “No to Executions” campaign for global expansion, while reaffirming calls for regime change toward a secular, democratic republic—rejecting both theocracy and monarchy—and expressing support for MEK Resistance Units inside Iran, who continue their fight for justice and freedom.
