Prisoners maintain hunger strikes as campaigners urge families and activists to speak out against mass executions.

Tuesday, February 3, 2026 – In its 106th week, the ‘No to Execution Tuesdays’ campaign continued across 56 prisons in Iran, with prisoners participating in hunger strikes to protest the country’s escalating execution crisis.

The campaign statement warned of the high number of executions and highlighted the perilous situation of recently detained citizens, many of whom are facing secret trials and heavy sentences without access to independent legal representation. Lawyers attempting to defend detainees from the January uprising have reportedly been threatened by security agencies.

Campaign members called on families of detainees and human rights activists to raise their voices, publicize the names of prisoners at risk, and advocate for their protection.

According to the campaign, the Iranian regime has executed at least 123 individuals since January 21, 2026, and more than 2,350 people since the start of the Iranian year 1404 (March 21, 2025). The statement condemned these actions as state-sanctioned murder, holding the Supreme Leader and the IRGC responsible.

The campaign is active in the following prisons: Evin, Qezel Hesar, Karaj Central, Fardis, Greater Tehran Penitentiary, Qarchak, Khorin, Chubindar, Ahar, Arak, Langarud, Khorramabad, Borujerd, Yasuj, Asadabad, Dastgerd, Sheiban, Sepidar, Nezam, Adelabad, Firuzabad, Dehdasht, Zahedan, Borazjan, Ramhormoz, Behbahan, Bam, Yazd, Kahnuj, Tabas, Birjand, Vakilabad, Gorgan, Sabzevar, Gonbad-e Kavus, Qaem Shahr, Rasht, Rudsar, Havigh, Azbaram, Dizel Abad, Ardabil, Tabriz, Urmia, Salmas, Khoy, Naqadeh, Miandoab, Mahabad, Bukan, Saqqez, Baneh, Marivan, Sanandaj, Kamyaran, and Ilam.

The campaign continues to call for solidarity and action to prevent further executions and protect political prisoners in Iran.
