Oslo, Norway – March 21, 2026 — Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) gathered outside the Iranian regime’s embassy on the first day of the Iranian New Year, Nowruz, expressing support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) Provisional Government and calling for the establishment of a democratic republic in Iran.
Participants chanted slogans demanding the overthrow of the ruling clerical regime and the establishment of a free, democratic republic. Demonstrators also called for the closure of the Iranian regime’s embassy in Norway, condemning it as a hub for terrorism and espionage.
Iranian supporters of the Resistance also organized an exhibition of images of the martyrs of the uprising—particularly those of the January 2026 uprising—at the gathering site. The display was arranged alongside a traditional Nowruz Haft-Seen table, decorated with flower branches, where participants renewed their commitment to continue the struggle until the overthrow of the mullahs’ dictatorship.
Organizers said the rally was held in support of the NCRI’s declaration and to highlight the resolve of Iranians abroad to bring about fundamental democratic change in Iran.
Participants rejected both the former monarchical dictatorship and the current religious dictatorship, emphasizing that Iran’s future lies in a democratic alternative. They voiced strong support for the ten-point plan of Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, describing it as a comprehensive roadmap for a transitional government and a democratic future.
