Iranians gather in Paris to support a democratic republic and Provisional Government, condemning executions and honoring victims of repression.

Paris, April 11, 2026 — A large gathering of Iranians took place at Place du Trocadéro, where supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), joined by Kurdish and other Iranian nationalities, rallied and marched in support of a democratic republic and the Iranian people. Protesters condemned the executions of political prisoners, including members of the PMOI and young protesters detained during the January uprising, describing the executions as acts of repression aimed at suppressing dissent.

The demonstration, held under the banner of a “Free Iran,” called for the implementation of a Ten-Point Plan proposed by Maryam Rajavi for a democratic and secular Iran, and voiced support for the Provisional Government proposed by the National Council of Resistance of Iran to transfer sovereignty to the Iranian people. Participants commemorated those described as martyrs who resisted until the end and reiterated demands for freedom and popular sovereignty.

According to statements voiced during the rally, young participants said they represent a generation shaped by resistance and unwilling to submit. They stated that executions would not silence opposition but instead awaken broader resistance, emphasizing their continued commitment to Iran despite living in exile and rejecting all forms of dictatorship.

In a video message to the demonstrators, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi , the President-elect of the NCRI referred to a global protest movement against the executions of PMOI members and young protesters. She said Iran’s ruling clerics are using ongoing conflict to intensify repression, expand executions, and block the path of a new generation of resistance, particularly forces associated with organized opposition.

Mrs. Rajavi also addressed the execution of 13 PMOI members and young protesters, describing it as deeply painful while emphasizing that their actions convey a message of determination and commitment to change. She said a resolute generation has emerged that seeks to replace the current system with a democratic republic based on freedom and the sovereignty of the people.

She added that the gathering in Paris represents a continuation of resistance and reflects a broader movement in Iran that is pursuing peace, freedom, and democratic governance.
