From Isfahan and Arak to Varamin and Ahvaz, PMOI/MEK Resistance Units called for the abolition of death sentences and support for political prisoners sentenced to death.

Iran – August 26, 2026: As the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign continued, Resistance Units and freedom-loving Iranians in cities across the country carried out protest activities, including displaying posters, photo actions, wall writings, and protest messages, expressing their opposition to the death penalty.

The activities emphasized solidarity with political prisoners sentenced to death and condemned criminal executions. The slogans called for the abolition of death sentences, resistance to repression, and the continuation of the struggle for freedom.

Floral Tributes

Arak

  • A flower arrangement bearing a color photograph of fallen hero Pouya Ghobadi carried the message:
    “Dear Pouya, you will never be forgotten. You are with us every step of the way.”

Isfahan

  • A flower arrangement bearing a color photograph of fallen hero Hamed Validi carried the message:
    “Dear Hamed, your memory and your name will always live with us and in our hearts.”

Ahvaz

  • A poster carried the slogan:
    “We strongly condemn the confirmation of the death sentence of political prisoner Arghavan Fallahi.”

Sanandaj

  • A poster carried the slogan:
    “From Kurdistan to Tehran, everyone is against executions.”

Rasht

  • A poster carried the slogan:
    “No to executions.”

Mashhad

  • A poster carried the slogan:
    “No to executions.”

A Nationwide Call Against Executions

The activities carried out in Arak, Isfahan, Ahvaz, Sanandaj, Rasht, and Mashhad as part of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign highlighted widespread opposition to the death penalty and expressed solidarity with political prisoners facing execution.

Through flower tributes, posters, and protest slogans, the Resistance Units and freedom-loving Iranians reiterated their call for the abolition of death sentences, condemned the execution of political prisoners, and emphasized their determination to stand against repression and continue the struggle for freedom.
