
Iranian Americans and Free Iran supporters will rally in New York on September 22 and 23
NEW YORK — Thousands of Iranian Americans and supporters of a Free Iran are expected to gather in New York on September 22 and 23, 2026. The rallies will take place at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, across from the United Nations.
Organized by OIAC, the rally will support a Free, Democratic, and Secular Republic in Iran
The Organization of Iranian American Communities (OIAC) is organizing the rallies. The group is calling on Iranian Americans and human rights supporters across the United States to join the gatherings in New York.

End Executions and Repression in Iran
The rallies will call for an end to executions and repression in Iran and express support for the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, human rights, and the establishment of a free, democratic, and secular republic.

“No to Shah, No to Mullahs, Yes to Free Iran”
Participants will reject all forms of dictatorship and reaffirm the message: “No to Shah, No to Mullahs, Yes to Free Iran.” The rallies will also express solidarity with the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign against the death penalty in Iran.
Support for the Iranian People’s Uprising, the Resistance, and the NCRI’s Ten-Point Plan
Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance will voice their support for the Iranian people’s uprising, the Resistance Units, and the National Liberation Army of Iran, as well as for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its President-elect, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. They will also express their support for a political transition based on the NCRI’s Ten-Point Plan for the Future of Iran and for the NCRI’s Provisional Government, under the banner of peace and freedom.

A Message to the International Community
The rallies will send a clear message to the international community. The Iranian people seek an end to dictatorship and the establishment of a democratic republic. They call for freedom, human rights, separation of religion and state, gender equality, and popular sovereignty. They also affirm their support for the Iranian people’s uprising and organized resistance, and for a transition toward a free and democratic Iran under the banner of peace and freedom.

The gatherings will take place at 9:00 a.m. at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, 2nd Avenue and 47th Street, New York City, across from the United Nations.
