Berlin Sit‑In Enters Day 221: PMOI Supporters Demand Embassy Closure and End to Executions in Iran

Day 221 of Berlin sit‑in: PMOI supporters protest executions in Iran and demand closure of the regime’s embassy.

Berlin, Germany — October 6, 2026: For the 221st consecutive day, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) maintained their sit-in protest outside the Iranian regime’s embassy in Berlin. The demonstrators condemned the executions carried out by the mullahs’ regime, with particular emphasis on the killing of political prisoners and the ongoing wave of executions targeting protesters arrested during uprisings across Iran. They also reiterated their call for an end to the death penalty.

Calls for Closure of the Iranian Embassy and Accountability

The protesters called for the closure of the embassy, as a center of espionage and terrorism operated by the Iranian regime in Germany. They are also demanding accountability for the regime’s systematic repression, human rights violations, and continuing executions in Iran.

Against Dictatorship and for a Democratic Republic

The sit-in reflects the protesters’ opposition to both the clerical dictatorship and a return to the former monarchical system. Their position is expressed in the slogan, “Down with the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Supreme Leader.” They say Iran’s future should be based on a free and democratic republic rather than another form of dictatorship.

The protesters support the establishment of a democratic republic based on Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan and call for international recognition of the provisional government proposed by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as part of the transition toward a democratic Iran.

Calls for Action Against Iranian Security Networks and Support for Resistance Units

They also call for stronger action against the Iranian regime’s intelligence and security networks in Europe and for the expulsion of its agents and operatives from European soil.

Another key demand is international support for the MEK Resistance Units inside Iran, which the protesters regard as an organized force opposing the clerical regime and seeking an end to its system of repression.
