MEK Supporters Rally in Front of Stockholm Court at the 5th Session of Trial of the Executioner Hamid Noury — August 20, 2021

Friday, August 20, 2021 — At 0915 a.m. CEST, the fifth session of the trial of the executioner Hamid Noury began in Stockholm, Sweden. As in previous hearings, the MEK supporters gathered in front of the court in Stockholm. At the fifth hearing, the plaintiffs’ attorneys present their views on the indictment.

Noury is being tried for his role in the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran, mostly members and supporters of the MEK.

At this meeting, the Mullahs’regime’s lawyers are scheduled to respond to the prosecutor’s indictment. Kenneth Lewis, one of the plaintiffs’ lawyers, said: “On June 20, 1981, the regime suppressed the peaceful demonstrations of the MEK.

Referring to the words of the regime leaders and their actions, Kenneth Lewis said: “The 1988 massacre is a clear example of genocide.”

Kenneth Lewis, citing international treaties: There is no doubt that what happened in 1988 was genocide.
The plaintiffs’ attorney also cited the views of prominent experts such as Professors Eric David and Jeffrey Robertson.

In the morning session, the executioner Noury’s lawyer also said some points in response to the indictment.
The afternoon session of the court was also dedicated to the words of the Noury’s lawyer. The trial ended at 4:20 p.m. CEST. The next court hearing will be held on the Monday, 23 August.

MEK Supporters Demonstrate at the Fourth Session of Hamid Noury’s Trial, the Executioner of the 1988 Massacre in Stockholm – August 17, 2021

Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 0915 CEST, the fourth session of the trial of the executioner Hamid Noury began in Stockholm, Sweden.

MEK Supporters Demonstrated in front of the central court of Stockholm at the Fourth Session of Hamid Noury’s Trial, the Executioner of the 1988 Massacre.

The fourth session of Hamid Noury’s court is dedicated to continuing the reading of the indictment. The prosecutor began his remarks with letters from Mr. Montazeri, Khomeini’s successor.

Mr. Montazeri’s letters were in protest of the massacre of the MEK prisoners. The prosecutor read the description of Montazeri’s meeting with the death squad, quoting from his diary, and read the text of Montazeri’s letter to Nayyeri, Eshraqi, Pourmohammadi, and Raisi.

Montazeri’s letter dated August 15, 1988, was in protest of the execution of the Mojahedin.
According to Montazeri: The Mojahedin -e-Khalq (MEK) are a kind of ideology; killing them (is not the solution), rather they will spread.”

The prosecutor named numerous Mojahedin who were executed according to Khomeini’s fatwa. The names of Mojahedin had been sentenced to several years in prison, but were executed.

In another part of the indictment, the prosecutor executed political prisoners from Marxist groups and read the names of several prisoners of Marxist groups who were executed in September 1988.

In the indictment, the prosecutor said that Hamid Noury and other accomplices were involved in the massacre of the prisoners. He also said that Hamid Noury was involved in the execution of Marxist prisoners.

Following the indictment, the prosecutor continued the indictment with statements by regime leaders in support of and confirmation of the executions. Among other things, he mentioned the support of the head of the judiciary and the then prime minister of Khomeini for the executions.

The fourth hearing closed at 2:40 p.m. The fifth session of the court will be held on Friday, August 20.

Today, the Trial of Hamid Noury, and Tomorrow Will Be Khamenei and Raisi’s Turn, Says MEK Network

August 13, 2021—The trial of Hamid Noury, one of the perpetrators of the 1988 massacre, is in process in Sweden. The PMOI/MEK Resistance Units refer to this incident and say that the trial of the Iranian regime’s new president Ebrahim Raisi and the regime’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei are also on the horizon.

In the summer of 1988, over 30,000 political prisoners were summarily executed by the Iranian regime. Most of them were members and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

Noury was among the regime’s torturers in the prison of Gohardasht. Noury is being tried for his role in the 1988 massacre, a tragedy that has been described as a crime against humanity by many human rights experts.

Stockholm, August 12, 2021 – The third session of trial of the Henchman Hamid Noury, one of the perpetrators of the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988, ended at 11:45 AM on Thursday, in the Swedish Central Court.

The court session was also dedicated to the reading of the indictment by the prosecutor, and the prosecutor explained in detail the beginning of the massacre and the transfer of the prisoners to the death row.

Prosecutor: “The death squad asked the prisoners if they were willing to condemn the Mojahedin and its leadership. Prisoners would be executed if they refused. “If a prisoner said I was a Mojahed, he would be executed.”

The prosecutor mentioned the names of numerous members and supporters of the MEK executed in August 1988, citing the testimonies of Mojahedin political prisoners based in Ashraf 3.

The prosecutor described the role of the 1988 executioner as Hamid Noury in transferring the MEK prisoners to the death squad, then in the corridor of death and the place of execution.

The fourth hearing of the henchman Hamid Noury Court will take place next Tuesday, August 17, in the Swedish Central Court.

Demonstration of the Iranians, Supporters of the MEK, Continued for the 2nd Day in Front of the Stockholm Court Against the Executioner Hamid Noury – August 11, 2021

Iranians, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), held a protest rally on August 11, 2021, for the second day in Sweden, simultaneous with the trial of the henchman Hamid Noury.

Noury is being tried for his role in the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran, mostly members and supporters of the MEK.

On the second day of the trial, the prosecutor continued the indictment by reading Khomeini’s criminal fatwa on the execution of the MEK prisoners. Referring to several articles of the Fourth Geneva Convention, including Articles 3 and 75 of the Convention, he said that the execution of the MEK prisoners under this fatwa was a grave violation of the Geneva Convention.

The prosecutor added that what was done in the international tribunal for war crimes in Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia is entirely in line with this conclusion.

Sweden, Stockholm – Demonstrations by the MEK Supporters at the Same Time as Executioner Hamid Noury’s Trial

August 10, 2021: Sweden, Stockholm – The trial of Hamid Noury(Nouri), a henchman of the regime’s Gohardasht Prison, at the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, started on Tuesday morning, August 10. PMOI/MEK supporters gathered in front of the court at the same time as the trial.

Noury is being tried for his role in the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran, mostly members and supporters of Hamid Noury (also known as Hamid Abbasi) was one of the henchmen involved in the massacre as the assistant to the deputy Prosecutor in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj (west of Tehran). He was the executioner of numerous prisoners. Several years ago, the Iranian Resistance identified him as one of the perpetrators of the 1988 massacre.

Before that, he was a member of the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) and worked for many years as an interrogator and torturer in the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran.

In 1988, Noury was transferred to Gohardasht prison in Karaj, west of Tehran, where he played an active role in the massacre of political prisoners on the then supreme leader Rouhollah Khomeini’s decree.

Supporters of the MEK and relatives of the 1988 massacre’s martyrs and many others of our compatriots planned a large gathering. However, the court and the police allowed a maximum of 50 MEK supporters and relatives to gather in front of the court due to space restrictions. Complainants and witnesses of the crime were also present among the supporters of the MEK.

As the trial began at 9:15 AM, more than 300 MEK supporters and relatives of the executed political prisoners in the 1988 massacre were present at the scene, and the population continued to grow.

At 1030 AM, read the indictment. Simultaneously with the trial, several plaintiffs, and witnesses to the regime’s atrocities in the massacre of political prisoners in 1988, recounted aspects of the horrors and the regime’s conspiracies against the seeking justice movement for the victims of the 1988 massacre.

—This session was dedicated to the hearing of Mr. Ramezan Fathi, one of the plaintiffs in the executioner Noury.

Ramezan Fathi said: The Mojahedin (MEK) were persecuted for mass sports and congregational prayers. In addition, Mr. Fathi added in his testimony, “Most of the Mojahedin were executed during the 1988 massacre.”

On Monday, September 6, 2021, on the anniversary of the foundation of the Mojahedin Organization of Iran(PMOI/MEK), Iranians, supporters of the MEK, demonstrated in front of the court of the executioner Hamid Noury.

Noury is being tried for his role in the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran, mostly members and supporters of the MEK.

They called for the prosecution of all perpetrators of the 1988 massacre in Iran. Also, they demanded the trial of the regime’s leaders include, supreme leader Ali Khamenei, the mass murderer Ebrahim Raisi and Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i, the regime’s new judiciary chief. They committed genocide and crimes against humanity in the 1988 massacre.
