MEK and NCRI supporters Commemorate Airplane Crash Victims in different countries  

supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), held rallies in Belgium and the United Kingdom commemorating victims of the Ukrainian passenger jet, downed by the mullahs’ regime on Wednesday. 

The MEK and NCRI supporters, Anglo Iranians held a protest rally in front of the United Kingdom Prime Minister’s office in London following the call by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the NCRI’s President-elect, declaring Friday as a day of mourning for the victims of the Ukrainian flight 752 downed by the regime Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).  

Mohamad Sulimani, Anglo-Iranian artist and human rights activist from Edgeware told the rally in London: “We join the Iranian opposition Leader Mrs. Rajavi, in offering our condolences to the families of the passengers of the Ukrainian airliner shot down by the Iranian regime’s missiles.  

In a similar rally in Brussels, Belgium and Simultaneous with EU Council’s Session, the MEK and NCRI supporters held a protest rally on Friday.  

The protesters urged the EU to withdraw from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal with world powers, initiate the UN trigger mechanism and reinstate six United Nations Security Council’s resolutions against the regime.  

While recalling the Iranian regime’s recent breach of the nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the MEK and NCRI supporters urged the EU member states to reimpose UN Security Council’s resolutions against the regime.   

The protesters held banners which read: “Qassem Soleimani and IRGC massacred 1500 protesters, wounded 4,000 and detained 12,000 in November,” and “[EU] Stop appeasing the mullahs’ regime and recognize the right of the Iranian people to resistance and freedom.” 

The NCRI and MEK supporters’ protests in Brussels and London was widely covered by European and international media organizations. In Brussels, Dozens of news agencies, including Reuters, Associated Press, Belga News Agency, local and international television, as well as Arab media participated and gave coverage.
