Rally by Members of Iranian diaspora and the MEK supporters in Netherlands
Hundreds of members of the Iranian diaspora, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Netherlands held a rally in solidarity with the nationwide Iran protests on Sunday.
The rally by the members of the Iranian diaspora and the MEK and NCRI supporters was held in the center of Amsterdam, Netherlands. This event wall also attended by some renowned personalities including Mrs. Corinna Mitterrand, the daughter-in law of the late French president François Mitterrand and wife of Mr. Gilbert Mitterrand, the president of the France Libertés Foundation.
The participants of the Iranian diaspora and the MEK and NCRI supporters’ rally in Amsterdam chanted slogans and held signs in solidarity with the Iran protests.
They also expressed their full support of the ten-points plan presented by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the NCRI’s president-elect for the future of Iran.
Mrs. Mitterrand also supported Mrs. Rajavi’s ten-points plan for the future of Iran and highlighted that under her leadership democracy will prevail in Iran.
“Many people, especially students, took to the streets to protest against the ruling regime. Today, we are gathering here to show our solidarity with the brave people of Iran. We support the Iranian people’s demand for a democratic change. We are here to support the resistance and the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Ms. Maryam Rajavi, to establish a free and democratic Iran,” Mrs. Mitterrand added.
“Because the movement of the National Council of Resistance of Iran calls for a free and advanced democratic Iran based on the right to vote freely and to separate religion from the state,” she added.
The participants of the Iranian diaspora and the MEK and NCRI supporters’ rally in Amsterdam also paid tribute to over 1500 martyrs of the Iran protests via putting flower on a huge banner with martyrs’ pictures.
The protesters also praised the leading role of the MEK’s “Resistance Units” during the Iran protests and voiced their support of those brave and rebellious youth who are risking their lives to defy the ruling theocracy in Iran.
Members of the Iranian community also participated in this event and delivered speeches in support of the Iran protests.
Speakers and participants of this rally emphasized Ms. Maryam Rajavi’s call on the international community to hold the Iranian regime’s authorities to account for their crimes against humanity including the massacre of over 1500 protesters during the Iran protests; and sending of a UN fact-finding mission to prevent regime’s ongoing atrocities against over 12,000 detained protesters. They also called upon the international community to recognize the Iranian people’s right to resistance of overthrow of the ruling religious fascism.
