September 10, 2022: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held gatherings in Canada and European countries against the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran. These gatherings were held in Canada (Toronto and Ottawa), Germany (Berlin), Norway (Oslo), Sweden (Gothenburg), and Copenhagen in Denmark. They commemorated Navid Afkari’s martyrdom anniversary.
Afkari arrested in 2018 in relation to nationwide anti-regime protests in Fars province. He brutally tortured by the regime’s prison agents and sentenced to execution on bogus charges. Despite an international campaign calling for the revocation of Afkari’s death sentence, the regime executed him on September 12, 2020, triggering a wave of national and international outrage.
Iranians, in their rallies, condemned human rights violations in Iran by the bloodshed mullahs‘ regime and increased executions in the country.
Also, they called the U.S. Government not to grant a visa for the mullahs’ regime President Ebrahim Raisi for UNGA77 because of his role in the 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners in Iran.
Moreover, MEK supporters protested against the shameful deal between Iran’s regime and the Belgium government over the sending of Assadollah Assadi, the regime’s diplomat—terrorist, to Tehran.
