Excerpts of the speech of Rob Mitchell, MP, and Second Deputy Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives (2013-2022), at the Free Iran 2022, is as follows:

Hi, I’m Rob Mitchell. As a member of the Australian Parliament, I declare my support for the Free Iran Global Summit 2022 for democracy and for human rights. I’m proud that I can add my voice to the people who want a free and peaceful Iran.

Genocide, terrorism, and nuclear defiance committed by the mullahs’ regime must be held accountable for four decades of crimes against humanity, including the1988 slaughter of 30000 political prisoners and the 2019 deaths of at least 1500 demonstrators. The regime officials must be brought to justice.

I’m very happy to support the courageous and patriotic Iranians who not only aspire to a country where everyone’s rights are honoured fully and equally, but who are prepared to work peacefully towards that goal.

I support the ten point plan of Maryam Rajavi. Iran’s people deserve free and fair elections, the freedom to practise their faith without hindrance and the opportunity to build their life on the security offered by a functioning government which promotes a foreign policy based on peaceful coexistence and a non-nuclear Iran which works for the benefit of all. No Shah, no Shaikh.
