Brussels, Belgium—Wednesday, January 4, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians, supporters of the Iranian Resistance (NCRI and MEK), honored the memory of the martyrs by holding an exhibition and demonstrations in support of the nationwide Iran protests.
They also demanded that European countries and Belgium pay special attention to the deterioration of the human rights situation and save the lives of protesters arrested during nationwide protests and the status of Iranian political refugees in Belgium.
Mr. Paulo Casaca, a former MEP from Portugal, while attending the gathering of Iranians, congratulating the Iranian people on the New Year and wishing them the best, said: We are all delighted with the Revolution that the Iranian people with leading women against a despotic and terrorist power are carrying out. This is, unfortunately, a bloody Revolution. We have more than 30,000 prisoners, more than 750 killed by regime forces, and at least many women, girls, and children killed by this regime.
In his speech, Mr. Mehdi Nobari pointed out the activities of Iran’s resistance units and rebel youth and the regime’s terrorist threats against genuine political refugees. He called for Belgium to pay special attention to the situation in Iran and the rights of women and children and the imprisoned protesters and Iranian refugees in Belgium.
In their messages, a group of political refugees called for the expulsion of mercenaries of the Iranian regime from European soil, with a clear drawing line with the dictatorships of the Shah and the mullahs.
Belgian News Agency, Belga and some Belgian media reported on the gathering of Iranians in Brussels.
In their Rally in Brussels, Iranians demanded the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime. Furthermore, freedom-loving Iranians in Brussels called for the expulsion of the Iranian regime’s MOIS agents from European soil and demanded the closure of the regime’s embassies.
