Copenhagen, Denmark—January 30, 2023: MEK Supporters Held an Exhibition in Support of the Iran Revolution

Copenhagen, Denmark—January 30, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians, supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), held a photo exhibition in memory of the martyrs of the nationwide Iranian Revolution. They also expressed solidarity with the nationwide uprising, which has entered its fifth month despite the regime’s brutal crackdown.

Members of the Iranian diaspora expressed their utter support of their risen compatriots and vowed to continue echoing their voices, calling for freedom and democracy in Iran.

The MEK supporters also paid tribute to the nationwide uprisings’ martyrs. According to reports tallied by the MEK, over 750 protesters have killed so far.

The freedom-loving Iranians also urged the international community to stand with the people of Iran and go beyond condemnations by recognizing their rights to self-defense in the face of the regime’s mounting violence.

Many Danish citizens in Copenhagen visited this photo exhibition and expressed their solidarity with the Iranian people.

Background

Protests erupted in Iran in September 2022 following the brutal and tragic murder of Mahsa Amini in police custody. Demonstrations soon became political, with people calling out the entire regime as the source of all economic and social problems in Iran.

The Iranian people have continued what many consider a revolution in the making, despite the regime’s heavy crackdown. This continuation indicates this uprising is well organized.

This fact was confirmed by many Iranian state-affiliated outlets and officials, who acknowledged the role of the MEK and its Resistance Units Network as the driving force behind this uprising.
