Toronto, Canada—April 8, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally and commemorated the martyrs of April 8, 2011, in Ashraf.
On April 8, 2011, during an attack against Camp Ashraf by Iranian regime proxies in Iraq. Under the direct order of Nuri al-Maliki, the Tehran-loyal prime minister of Iraq, the Iraqi army launched a massive deadly attack against the resident of Camp Ashraf, using firearms and armored vehicles. The attack left 36 dead and hundreds of wounded and drew widespread condemnation from the international community.
Freedom-loving Iranians also expressed solidarity with the nationwide Iranian uprising against the mullahs’ regime.
Freedom-loving Iranians also emphasized the Iranian people seeking a democratic republic and rejecting any kind of dictatorship, be it the mullahs (Khamenei) or a return to that of the Shah’s regime.
Furthermore, freedom-loving Iranians in Toronto called for the Blacklisting of the IRGC as a terrorist organization for Its crimes against the Iranian people and terrorist activities in the other countries.
It is worth to mention that Saturday, April 8, 2023, marked the 205th day of the continuous anti-regime protests across Iran.
