Remarks by Helmut Geuking, MEP From Germany, to the Free Iran World Summit 2023–July 1, 2023

Helmut Geuking, German MEP

Helmut Geuking, MEP from Germany, addressed the first day of the Free Iran World Summit on July 1, 2023.

Helmut Geuking: You, Mrs. Rajavi, are the bringer of hope, and we hope that the lion will return to the flag, and you, as the rising sun, if I may say so, symbolize humanity, peace, and compassion

The speech‘s translation of Helmut Geuking, MEP from Germany, follows:

Today, I am here to inform you that in Germany, we believe in the goodness of people, and we know that the people in Iran are good, peaceful, and kind. We also know that they have been held hostage by the mullahs, and we know that the mullahs pose a threat to world peace.

In January, it was reported that uranium enrichment has reached 84 percent, and at 90 percent, nuclear weapons can be produced. We are not aware of how far they have progressed now. In May, medium-range missiles were introduced, which Iran is now producing. And just last month, in June, the corresponding hypersonic missiles were presented to the world. With a speed of 18,000 kilometers per hour and a range of 4,000 kilometers, they are capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
This shows us the dangers posed by this regime.

It also shows that all democratic countries are obligated to take action, and above all, the media must report on these matters and not keep people unaware of the state of this country. This country must undergo a change.
You, Mrs. Rajavi, are the bringer of hope, and we hope that the lion will return to the flag, and you, as the rising sun, if I may say so, symbolize humanity, peace, and compassion. And these values need to return to the flag of Iran.
