Geneva, Switzerland—November 3, 2023: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a protest rally in front of the UN headquarters to condemn the Iranian regime’s appointment to chair the Human Rights Council Social Forum.
Demonstrators emphasized that, don’t make human rights a victim of appeasement with the regime of murderers of Iranian people.
The protesters urged the international community to take a firm policy against the regime’s human rights violations and recognize the Iranian people’s right to self-defense.
In the protest rally in Geneva, Iranians chanted slogans against this shameful act at the United Nations Human Rights Council.
The slogans included the following:
War and terror in the world are the result of mullahs’ work!
The perpetrator of every crime is the Khamenei regime!
The fall of the Ayatollah will bring peace and stability to the world!
The West’s support enables the Mullah to commit crimes!
Cooperating with the mullahs is participation in their crimes!
No to appeasement with the mullahs!
The cause of any terrorism is the mullahs’ regime!
Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or be it the leader (Khamenei).
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) sent a message to the Iranian Resistance supporters at the rally.
Mrs. Rajavi stated: The imposed chairing of the UNHRC Social Forum by the criminal clerical regime constitutes a moral failure for the United Nations.
She emphasized: Appeasement with this regime has failed. The clerical regime will inevitably crumble in the face of the Iranian people’s uprising and the Freedom Army. This day will be a moment of shame for all those who contributed to the erosion of universal human values.
Mrs. Rajavi continued: Regarding the recent proliferation of sanctions packages, it must be acknowledged that, in practice, they prove ineffective for the people of Iran, while granting the mullahs fresh political commercial advantages. However, the time for this hypocritical game has come to an end.
As a result of the incentives offered to the mullahs for years, Khamenei‘s missiles and drones are today setting the Middle East & Ukraine on fire.
