MEK Supporters Rally in The Hague: Denouncing Sham Trial of MEK Members, Supporting the PMOI

The Hague, The Netherlands—July 13, 2024: Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held a rally in front of the mullahs’ embassy against the regime’s sham trial of MEK members. They expressed their full support for the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran against the regime’s criminal actions.

Iranian Resistance supporters demanded international prosecution of the mullahs’ regime leaders for more than four decades of crimes against humanity, including the massacre of PMOI members and supporters, and the brutal suppression of the Iranian people, especially women and youth.

The Iranian regime has conducted a sham trial against members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Tehran, violating international standards for fair trials. This politically motivated attempt to demonize the MEK comes amid growing international support for the Iranian Resistance and increased domestic uprisings. The regime’s actions stem from fear of the MEK’s growing influence and rising support for democratic change in Iran.

This trial is part of a long-standing pattern of suppressing MEK, dating back to 1988 when former Supreme Leader Khomeini issued a fatwa calling for the execution of all loyal MEK members.

This latest move highlights the regime’s desperate efforts to maintain power. It also underscores international concerns about Iran’s judicial system and its treatment of political activists, particularly given the judiciary’s notorious history of executions and torture.
