MEK Supporters in Paris Spotlight Human Rights Violations in Iran and Call for Action Against Regime Executions

Paris, November 26, 2024

Paris, France—November 26, 2024: Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) held an impactful exhibition in Paris to shed light on human rights violations in Iran. The event, which featured photographs and books, expressed solidarity with the Iranian Revolution and condemned the regime’s escalating use of executions as a tool of repression.

The exhibition highlighted the Iranian regime’s increasing reliance on the death penalty, particularly targeting political dissidents and supporters of the MEK. Human rights activists and members of the Iranian diaspora emphasized the urgent need for international action against these atrocities.

A centerpiece of the event was a collection of books and evocative photographs documenting Iran’s ongoing struggle for freedom and justice. These displays celebrated the PMOI’s dedication to establishing a democratic and secular Iran, while honoring the sacrifices of countless Iranians who have stood against oppression.

During the event, French citizens called for the immediate release of political prisoners in Iran. One French attendee held a sign demanding the freedom of Maryam Akbari Monfared, a female political prisoner who has endured over 15 years of unjust imprisonment under the mullahs’ regime.

MEK supporters in Paris also called for Iranian regime leaders to face international trials for crimes against humanity. Additionally, they urged the European Union to officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization.

The exhibition attracted significant attention from French citizens, many of whom expressed solidarity with the Iranian Revolution and voiced their hope for a free and democratic Iran.
