In memoriam of all persecuted and executed citizens of Iran

In memoriam of all persecuted and executed citizens of Iran

If freedom does not exist there is only dictatorship. Dictatorships wherever they rule, they commit crimes against people!

When I entered the Saloon Bourget, in the annual gathering of Iranian communities in Paris, my thoughts went back to the memories of Albania under the dictatorship regime. I have wanted to suffer from amnesia, in order to escape from the memories of the plague that the regime of dictatorship left on my people and in my family mostly.

The images of my grandparents and uncles returned back to the stage of that day, and also to my eyes came back the statue of the heads of Vilson Blloshmi and Genc Leka, the two cousins, intellectuals and poets, executed in Albania exactly when I was born.

With these memories and feelings I was thousands of people seeking freedom in Iran, most of them dissidents, who were gathered to demand the change of the regime of their country.

Dictatorships left or right wing, and those based to atheism or religion have always committed crimes against mankind since ancient up to our modern times. It is unacceptable and intolerable that in the XXI century globalization, humans and people despite of their nationality, race, and religion to suffer and get punishment from the governments of countries wherever they are from the east to the west from the north to the south of the world.

Once, Elie Wiesel, the Nobel Laureate, the long life voice of millions of Holocaust victims addressed to the United Nations in the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz – Birkenau ; on January 24, 2005.

‘We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentors, never the tormented. We must be engaged, we must reject indifference as an option. Indifference always helps the aggressor, never his victims….but will the world ever learn?”

The today global society is still weak to accept and defend human rights as long as hypocrisy plays the show of the masking on the stage of politics. If the community survives in the jungle, the corrupted political leaders celebrate their high class beneficial wealth on the top of the liberty statue. That is the miserable joke of those masters of wars who cannot be the guider of people and servants of the peace for the global citizens.

But it is on the hands of the today society to create a better future for the citizens of the world wherever they are, because the freedom is the basic principle of human rights, and the mankind should stand on this basis, otherwise there is the primitive slavery offered by the wilderness of the oppressing dictatorships.

It is still on the hands of the world community to create an environment for freedom, peace and prosperity, which there is the only sincere engagement and help for millions Iranian people who are suffering under the dictatorship of religion in a country which ancient history and culture is a treasure for the world cultural heritage.

Where freedom has collapsed there is no democracy. The tears of millions should make us all see the painful reality with open eyes; because where a human is not free there is no free human in another house and shelter. The freedom is the basic principle of human rights, and for that it should be guaranteed for all individuals of the today world.
