The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) was held a global seminar on the Iranian regime’s terrorist operations during the third day of the “Free Iran Global Summit” on, July 20, 2020.
The conference under title, Terrorism by Iran’s Regime -Shut Down Tehran’s Embassies Abroad-Expel its Agents, Operatives, was held online, connecting thousands of locations throughout the world to Ashraf 3, Albania, home to the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). This conference is over the Iranian regime’s terrorist activities across the world, by using its embassies. The conference and its panelists urged the European countries to shut down the Iranian regime’s embassies, which are indeed emissaries of terror and nests of spies. The keynote speaker of this event is Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the NCRI’s President-elect.
The theme of the conference was the Iranian regime’s international terrorist activities. Participants called on the international community to shut down the regime’s embassies and expel its ‘diplomat-terrorists’.
Edmond Spaho, Member of Parliament of Albania for Elbasan and vice chair of the Democratic Party of Albania joined the Online Free Iran Global Summit—day 3. In his remarks, Mr. Spaho said, “The time for change in Iran has come. The international community is supporting the Iranian people and its resistance to establish freedom and democracy in their own land, Iran.”
Here is the speech of Mr. Spaho:
It is an honor to be with you in this great conference as the vice chair of the Democratic Party of Albania. Iran, home to one of the oldest civilizations, today is facing a very critical moment of its history. The last 40 years, Iran has been transformed and four decades of confluence of challenges such as political and cultural repression, menacing authorities, controlling ideas and speech from the regime, and indeed, controlling life itself has been enduring.
We condemn the killing of thousands of the Iranian people, including thousands of children. The massacre of political prisoners and the killing of over 1,500 Iranian protestors in November 2019, and ask that those responsible receive justice.
The time for change in Iran has come. The international community is supporting the Iranian people and its resistance to establish freedom and democracy in their own land, Iran. Iran diplomatic missions in some capitals, including Albania, have been involved in the activities that are contrary to their diplomatic status.
We stand firm against any kind of terrorism and export of fundamentalism in Albania and abroad, and we support the Iranian democratic alternative. The opposition in Albania has supported the expulsion of two Iranian diplomats, including its ambassador for planning terrorist acts in Albania. Representatives of the Iranian intelligence and security agencies should not be allowed in our country, and we will support, if needed, similar actions in the future.
Madame Rajavi’s 10-point plan for the future of Iran offers the people of Iran a free, secular and democratic country. Political pluralism, free and fair elections, freedom of expression and human rights, rule of law and justice, separation of religion from the state, and an Iran free of weapons of mass destruction are what the Iranian people want and are fighting for. God bless Iranian opposition.
