MEK/PMOI is a major threat to the Iranian regime

MEK/PMOI is a major threat to the Iranian regime

On July 1, 2017, the (NCRI) and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK/PMOI) held a gathering in Paris, France, where more than 100,000 Iranians from all over the world participated. In addition, many international dignitaries including Rudy Giuliani former mayor of New York City, John Bolton former ambassador to the United States, Tom Ridge, Former Secretary of Homeland Security,

Newt Gingrich former speaker of the House, Ed Rendell, former Governor of Pennsylvania,Joseph Lieberman, former US Senator and Democratic Vice Presidential candidate and several congressional delegates Participants were also a large number of dignitaries and Parliamentarians from Europe and Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia’s Prince Turkic al-Faisal

Iranian regime was already trying to put pressure on the French government to prevent the gathering, and for this purpose, Jawad Zarif, Iran’s Foreign Minister, raveled to France.Immediately after his return to Iran, the regime responded through Friday prayer masquerades, protesting against the French government.

The Iranian resistance holds its gathering in Paris every year, but the question is why this year the Iranian regime was so hysterical regarding the event.Contrary to previous years, which regime would try to ignore the event by media blackout, this year the news of this gathering has been published more than a thousand times in the Iranian regime’s media.

The regime claims that 70 percent of Iranians had voted for this government If that is the case then why are they afraid of a group which they claim lacks popular support.

To answer this question we have to understand the current state of Iran and how the Iranian regime survives. two years after the atomic deal known as the JCPOA, Iranian regime, not only has failed to solve the economic problems of the society, but the situation has exacerbated On the other hand, public protests have been increasing every day. Khamenei by “engineering” the election was planning to counter the social uprisings and control the tensions within the regime. For this reason, he selected mullah Ebrahim Raisi, as his candidate for Presidential election.

Iranian regime massacred over 30,000 political prisoners in summer of 1988 and kept a lid on this atrocity for three decades. In this year’s presidential election when Ebrahim Raisi, one of the perpetrators of the massacre, was selected as a main candidate, the news of the 1988 massacre surfaced and the youth were demanding accountability.

Pictures of Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, were raised in various parts of Tehran, and other cities across the country, slogans were written on the walls in support of the Mojahedin (MEK/PMOI)  and Maryam Rajavi.

Regionally, in the Islamic countries, a coalition was formed against the destructive interference of the Iranian regime in the region. For the first time in past 38 years the international community has come to realize that the only solution for the region is regime change in Iran.

Regime change was the main topic of the speakers in July 1, 2017 annual gathering of Iranian resistance in Paris.

Former ambassador of the United States to the UN John Bolton said:

The outcome of the president’s policy review should be to determine that the Ayatollah Khomeini’s 1979 revolution will not last until its 40th birthday. As the campaign to destroy the ISIS caliphate nears its ultimately successful conclusion, we must avoid allowing the regime in Tehran to achieve its long-sought objective of an arc of control from Iran through the Baghdad government in Iraq, to the Assad regime in Syria, and the Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. An arc of control which if it’s allowed to form will simply be the foundation for the next grave conflict in the Middle East.

Rudy Giuliani former mayor of New York City said:

I’m happiest to be here because I can say,  can probably say this with a good deal of authority, that the government of the United States supports you, we’re behind you, we agree with your values. The government of the United States understands the danger of Iran. The government of the United States will not allow Iran to become an empire in the Middle East. And the United States of America will not allow Iran to become a nuclear power under any circumstances. And finally,I can say The regime is evil and it must go. Free Iran.

Tom Ridge, Former United States Secretary of Homeland Security: The light of freedom,  is kept going by all those who has lost their lives for the cause and by the people of Camp Ashraf (PMOII/MEK)and by those who have lived through the terror caused by the Iranian regime. it is the only popular organization that has a proven leadership that can provide a democratic alternative to the mullahs’ regime.

“I join with you and we need to join the entire global community to raise their voices, sustain their voices, call throughout the international community, we want a free Iran.

Newt Gingrich said: I have come to bring you a simple message. Iran must be free.  The only practical goal is to support a movement that could free Iran, and that’s you. The presence of 3000 MEK in Albania is a decisive defeat for dictatorship in Tehran.  the name of your president will stand the same as George Washington and Lafayette in the United States.

Ed Rendell, politician and former mayor of Philadelphia said: that the next step is to free Iran, something that this is the job of the people, the US must stand firmly behind them. Freeing Iran is also in the interests of the US because it will spell the end of extremism and will mean peace and security.

oseph Lieberman, former US Senator and Democratic Vice Presidential candidate also spoke of the MEK and their fight for the freedom of the Iranian people, comparing them to the revolutionary fighters who first brought freedom and democracy to the US and France.

He said: “Some things have changed inside Iran, and that’s at the level of the people. You can never suppress a people, you can never enslave a people forever. The people of Iran inside Iran have shown the courage to rise up… To just talk about that, to just talk about that, to hold Madame Rajavi’s picture up in public places, is a sign of the unrest of the people and the growing confidence of the people that change is near. The same is true of the remarkable public disagreements between the various leaders of the country…It is time for America and hopefully some of our allies in Europe to give whatever support we can to those who are fighting for freedom within Iran.

Conclusion: The regime in Tehran is not merely a nuclear weapons threat, it’s not merely a terrorist threat, and it is a conventional threat to everybody in the region who simply seeks to live in peace and security. The Regime is now working with the North Koreans and sharing missile secrets. This regime supports terrorist groups like ISIS and Taliban in Afghanistan, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Houthis militias in Yemen.

Therefor to stop their destructive actions in the region and the world the right policy is regime change.

Regime change in Iran does not require another bloody conflict in the region. It is now in reach more than ever, and the people of Iran, along with their organized resistance movement (NCRI/MEK), have all they need to bring democracy and freedom to their country. All they are asking from the International community is to stop the appeasement policy and recognize the Iranian peoples’ right to resist and change the regime.
