Free Iran rally by MEK supporters in Stockholm
NCRI and MEK supporters will be heading to Stockholm, Sweden, to continue the Free Iran march
In the past month, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, also known as the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK), and National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) have held numerous rallies in Europe and the U.S. in support of the Iranian people’s uprisings and their desire for the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime ruling their country.
Stockholm, Sweden, will be the next venue by these series of events will be held on Saturday, July 20. Supporters of the MEK and NCRI will rally in Stockholm as they previously did in Brussels, Washington, and Berlin. The Free Iran rally by MEK supporters will be another event to echo the voices of millions of Iranians who are suffering under the tyranny of the mullahs and want to live in a democratic and free country.
For decades, the NCRI and MEK have been calling for the overthrow of the mullahs as the only solution to the challenges posed by the regime of Iran. The Free Iran rally by MEK supporters will sat that the necessity for regime change in Iran is becoming more evident with every passing day.
After the Free Iran rally by MEK supporters in Stockholm, the supporters of MEK and NCRI will be heading to London to be the voice of their compatriots.
The activities of the NCRI and MEK have not been limited to rallies in Europe and U.S. In the past week, the MEK held a five-day event in Ashraf 3, Albania, where thousands of members of the opposition movement are located. Several conferences in Ashraf 3 examined the different facets of the struggle of the Iranian people and the MEK against the Iranian regime and discussed solutions to the challenges the regime poses to the Middle East region and the world.
Dignitaries from across the world attended the events in Ashraf 3, including Rudy Giuliani, lawyer to the U.S. president and former New York Mayor, former U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird, former French Foreign Ministers Bernard Kouchner and Michelle Alliot Marie, and many others.
Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi stressed in the main event that the final and sole solution for Iran is the overthrow of the religious dictatorship of the mullahs at the hands of the Iranian people and their resistance.
Mrs. Rajavi, who is President-elect of the NCRI, also stressed that while Iran is ruled by a tyrannical regime and while there can’t be any assemblies and demonstrations in Iran, and while there’s no free elections, the real criterion for assessing a movement is through its resistance.
In the past decades, the Iranian regime has arrested and executed more than 100,000 members and supporters of the MEK, yet the movement still stands and along with the NCRI, it is gaining momentum and influence with every passing day.
The events held in the past weeks are an extension of the Iranian people’s 120-year struggle for freedom. The NCRI, the MEK, and the network of MEK Resistance Units inside Iran will help the Iranian people achieve this sacred goal and rid Iran and the world of the tyrannical rule of the mullahs.
