Mr. Soheil Arabi held in solitary confinement since his transfer to Gohardasht Prison on September 18, 2020. Moreover, he deprived of telephone contact with his family. Therefore, this has caused concern about the conditions of detention and the condition of this prisoner.

Transfer to Gohardasht Prison Quarantine

Political prisoner Soheil Arabi summoned on September 18, to “Chaharmahali,” the Greater Tehran Prison director. He then transferred to an unknown location.

However, after much follow-up by the family, they informed that he moved to the quarantine of Gohardasht Prison, known as the “Suite” without prior notice on September 21.

It is worth noting that Soheil Arabi repeatedly protested against this situation by publishing news about the prisoners’ painful condition. Also, about the widespread corruption among the prison authorities, and the prisoners’ problems. As a result, this transfer is to force Soheil to remain silent.

Threatened by prison agents

Most importantly, in his latest message, Soheil announced that prison officials threatened to transfer him to a worse prisoner. Arabi’s response to this threat was that he would continue to mediate and disclose the prisoners’ conditions in each prison.

Mrs. Farangis Mazlum, the mother of Soheil Arabi, called on all Iranians and human rights activists to be her son’s voice and work to save the life of Soheil Arabi and all prisoners.
