Iranians from every sector of society have continued their protests against the regime’s mishandling of the economic crisis ahead of the presidential elections on Friday, June 18, further demonstrating that the people are planning a nationwide boycott.
One female protester said: “Those officials who tell us say death to America have sent their children to the United States to study there. With whose many? These people’s money… Hassan Rouhani gave many promises to people but plundered the national wealth in 8 years. [Ebrahim] Raisi [the supreme leader’s preferred candidate] has been the judiciary chief for two years. What has he done? They are all the same.”

Wednesday, June 16
Tehran Jonoob Construction Company workers continued their strike in Mahshahr for the third day in a row over the firing of many local workers, which is especially important because 70% of employees are not local and, in fact, related to company officials.
Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Company workers protested again over several issues:
- their right to irrigate their sugar cane fields
- demand clarification of the company situation following the displacement of CEO Omid Assadbeigi, who is related to regime officials
Mashhad Mall project workers protested outside the office building to demand their unpaid wages, while also criticising the Exxon Petroleum Company for not paying their salaries on time.
Caspian Credit Institution investors protested over the theft of their life savings by the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC)-linked financial group, which has been the target of many similar protests over the past few years.
Tuesday, June 15
Food deliverers protested in Laleh Park, Tehran, to demand that they get an increase in travel pay and that their deliveries are better clumped together.
Khuzestan telecommunications employees protested over job insecurity and a failure to respect workers’ rights, despite their two decades of experience, in several cities
The families of Yazd Bafgh phosphate mine workers protested the miners’ delayed wages, noting that mine security guards routinely summon and pressure workers.
Monday, June 14
Mahshahr pipe workers protested outside the governor’s office over the laying off of 108 pipeline workers. They were joined by farmers, who are angry over not getting their water irrigation rights.
Sunday, June 13
Sepahan Dizicheh Cement Factory workers continued their strike, demanding bonuses and job security.
The Iranian Resistance wrote: “In addition to protests by people from all walks of life, many people call for boycotting the regime’s sham presidential election in the so-called “Free Tribune” the regime holds on the street… Ongoing protests in Iran and unprecedented calls for boycotting the regime’s election farce in bright daylight indicate society’s restiveness and people’s willingness to overthrow the regime.”
