Covid-19 Death Rates Among Vaccinated Iranian Citizens Is Ten Times the World Standard

As recently reported by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), a warning from the Statistics and Information Center of the Ministry of Health in Iran has indicated that there is an increase in the numbers of Covid-19 cases and deaths from the virus of vaccinated Iranians.

Iran: COVID-19 death toll among those vaccinated is tens of times world standard

The MEK said, “The death rate among those vaccinated, especially people over the age of 60, is tens of times higher than the global average.”

It is believed that the irregular gap between the first and second doses, and neglection in regard to the type of vaccine being used is to blame for the rise in the infection and death rates, according to the Information Center of the Ministry of Health, following an examination by the Scientific Committee of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force.

The Information Center noted that over 91,000 people between the ages of 60 and 90, who had already received the first dose of the vaccine, contracted the Covid-19 virus within 2 weeks of receiving the vaccine and have been admitted to hospitals around the country.

The MEK said, “About 8,500 of those hospitalized have died, mostly in their 70s and 80s. According to the report, among those who received two doses of the vaccine and have been fully vaccinated, about 23,000 once again contracted the virus.”

The daily death tolls have reached a new record in the past few days with nearly 700 deaths in one day. This comes just as the Health Ministry announced the official figures of the number of citizens who have received their vaccines. Over 16,494,000 million people have already had their first dose, while for the second dose, it stands at over 5,635,000 million.

The MEK said, “Ali Sharifi Zarchi, head of the Statistics and Information Technology Management Center, in a report and analysis to the Ministry of Health, presented the number of covid hospitalizations and deaths in Iran after vaccination and said that some indicators are much higher than the statistics announced by some countries.”

Noted in the report was that 2,490 people died from Covid-19 after they had already received their second dose of the vaccine. 1,411 of these people had tested positive with the virus while 682 had tested negative. The results were unknown for the remaining 397 people. This is despite international studies claiming that the chance of death from the virus following both vaccines is extremely low.

The MEK said, “According to the report, taking into account the population of 2,749,356 people who had been vaccinated for at least two weeks. The death rate of people who have been vaccinated for more than two weeks is 753 per million. The declared index in some countries is less than ten per million.”

The report outlines that the fifth wave of the delta variant of Covid-19 hit Iran just as a change in the vaccines being used was implemented. A state-run news agency wrote that the Deputy Health Minister, Iraj Harirchi expects that the number of deaths per day will continue to rise for a further three weeks.

The MEK said, “However, regime Health Minister Saeed Namaki said in a provincial meeting of the Covid-19 Task Force that coronavirus will go through multiple mutations in the future and would likely make the future vaccines ineffective.”
