Maryam Rajavi Holds High-Level Talks on Iran’s Future with Prominent International Leaders

Maryam Rajavi meets with leading international political figures to discuss Iran’s future and the Iranian people’s quest for freedom and democracy.

Discussion with Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), met with former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to discuss recent developments in Iran and the region, the expansion of the nationwide resistance movement, and international policy toward Iran. Rajavi described Iranian society as being in a highly volatile state and pointed to the growing activities of Resistance Units across the country. She said the increase in political executions reflects the regime’s fear of a rising popular movement linked to an organized resistance. Rajavi emphasized that lasting peace and an end to repression, regional tensions, and the regime’s pursuit of nuclear weapons depend on democratic change led by the Iranian people and their organized resistance.

Johnson stated that the international community should not yield to a regime that suppresses its own people and has spread instability across the Middle East. He expressed confidence in the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, stressing that external conflict cannot bring liberation and that meaningful change must come from within Iran. He also praised the courage of the Iranian people and voiced optimism about their future success.

Talks with Charles Michel, Gen. James Jones, and Gen. Keith Kellogg

In a separate meeting, Rajavi held discussions with Charles Michel, former President of the European Council, General James Jones, former U.S. National Security Advisor and former NATO Commander, and General Keith Kellogg, former Acting U.S. National Security Advisor and U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine.

Rajavi thanked the three leaders for their support of the Iranian people and resistance, stating that while the Iranian regime is weaker than ever, the organized resistance and Resistance Units are stronger and better prepared. She argued that recent events have demonstrated that democratic change in Iran can only be achieved by the Iranian people and their resistance movement, and called on the international community to stand alongside them.

Michel described Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan as a strong response to accusations directed against the resistance movement. General Jones stressed that support for the Iranian people and resistance is essential for global peace and security and argued that any agreement with the Iranian regime should include strict human rights commitments. General Kellogg said the regime would not relinquish power voluntarily and emphasized the importance of continued resistance, noting what he described as significant progress by the movement compared with the previous year.
