Elona Gjebrea, Secretary of the Albanian Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee, addressed at the 2nd Day of The Free Iran World Summit on July 11, 2021.
For over 40 years, the workers have dropped the challenge of dealing with the theocratic regime in Iran. Albania has always been in support of those who were suppressed by the dictatorial regimes. We express our deep concerns about ongoing human rights violations in Iran.
As far as Albania’s foreign policy against terrorism, our government has expelled the Iranian regime ambassador in Albania, as well as three diplomats of the Iranian embassy for their engagement in the turret goes against Tehran.
In 27 April 2021, the majority of members of US Congress supported Resolution Number 118 in support for the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic, secular and non-nuclear Republic of Iran and contests violation of human rights and state sponsored terrorism by the Iranian government. The resolution also supports a 10-point plan of Madame Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance for Free Iran.
Their resolution praised a positive and important step when the lenient government expelled multiple Iranian diplomats in response to news that the regime has also plotted terrorist activities against members of the MEK in Albania. We also support this resolution.
As Madame Rajavi stated, the installing of Raisi reflects the religion’s desperation and the overthrow of ruling theocracy. Raisi must face justice in the international tribunal.
Most of the members of the Albanian Parliament support the nationwide uprising of the Iranian people, and their just resistance for freedom and democracy.
All of us in Albania from different political parties are elated about freedom and democracy in Iran, and to support the Iranian resistance Madame Rajavi and the people of Ashraf.
Thank you very much, and I wish you all the best and with the good news and freedom in Iran.
