The Iranian regime’s judiciary in Khuzestan has filed new charges against political prisoner Mehran Gharahbaghi.
The charges include “corruption on earth,” “propaganda against the state,” and “membership of Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI)”.
Gharabaghi was arrested in December 2019 and transferred to Behbehan Prison after a month of interrogation and torture.
In July, he was suddenly transferred to an MOIS Detention Center in Ahvaz, where charges were filed against him.
On December 25, he was transferred to Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz, prompting concerns about his fate
The regime has repeatedly threatened to execute Gharabaghi if he does not collaborate against the MEK.
Gharabaghi is suffering from a heart disease caused from torture and pressure in prison.
