81st Week of the Campaign

On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the 81st week of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign takes place amid a sharp rise in executions in Iran.

Political Prisoners at Risk

Five political prisoners sentenced to death have been forcibly transferred to Qezel Hesar Prison:

  • Vahid Bani-Amerian

  • Pouya Ghobadi

  • Babak Alipour

  • Akbar (Shahrokh) Daneshvarkar

  • Mohammad Taghavi

Amnesty International has strongly condemned these actions. Prisoners warn that Baloch detainees are in grave danger.

Escalating Repression

Two more prisoners, Babak Shahbazi and Omid Tabari Moghadam, were beaten and transferred to Qezel Hesar Prison.
In Zahedan Prison, Amer Paraki Balochzehi was moved to solitary confinement ahead of his execution.

Nationwide Resistance

Despite the surge in executions, resistance grows.
In Semirom, shopkeepers and citizens closed their markets to protest the death sentences of Fazel and Mehran Bahramian.

Call to Action

The campaign urges families of death-row prisoners to:
