Group of MEPs Condemns Death Sentence Against Iranian Political Prisoner Zahra Tabari

MEPs in the European Parliament hold up Zahra Tabari’s photo, condemning her death sentence and demanding #StopExecutionsInIran.
On November 27, 2025, a group of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) stood up for Zahra Tabari, a 67-year-old engineer and political prisoner who supports the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), echoing her voice within the halls of the European Parliament. Tabari was sentenced to death by the Iranian clerical regime’s judiciary following a sham 10-minute trial orchestrated by its executioners.
Several MEPs, holding photographs of the condemned woman, officially denounced the ruling as unjust and tyrannical, urging the regime to stop executions in Iran and break the vicious cycle of repression and terror.

Tabari’s courage embodies the broader struggle of Iranians demanding justice and human rights amid escalating state violence. As one of the voices amplifying global resistance against the execution of political prisoners in Iran, her case has spotlighted the regime’s brutal tactics. The MEPs’ action serves as a resounding “No to Execution,” highlighting the international outcry against Iran’s pattern of show trials and death penalties targeting dissidents.

This demonstration in the European Parliament not only amplifies Tabari’s plea but also underscores the unified call for accountability, ensuring her story resonates far beyond Iran’s borders.
