Demonstrators in Shahr-e Kord, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, continued protests over water shortages on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Iran’s regime is transferring local water sources to other cities, leaving people’s lives devastated.

“We will fight back!” locals chant as they rally outside the governor’s office. Government officials are only giving promises and refrain from taking action, protesters say.

Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari is one of several provinces facing water and environmental crises
Similar protests are ongoing in neighboring Isfahan province.

In this regard, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said: “I salute my freedom-loving compatriots in Isfahan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and Shahrekord who foiled the clerical regime’s attempt to attack the demonstrators and their plot to mislead the protest”

Mrs. Rajavi added: “We can earn our rights to both water and freedom only by rising up, resisting and remaining steadfastness in the face of the mullahs’ savagery”.
