Iran: Nationwide Protests in Neyshabur, Quchan, Hafshejan, Borujerd, Farsan, Babaheydar, Boroujen, Razaviyeh District of Tehran and Other Cities

On Saturday night, May 14, 2022, despite intense crackdown nationwide, the Iranian people took to the streets for the fourth consecutive night in anti-regime demonstrations sparked by a recent price surge in food staples.

The cities of Quchan, Hafshejan, Farsan and Babaheydar in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province; Borujerd and Boroujen; and the town of Razavieh in Tehran province, among others, witnessed protesters taking to the streets and chanting: “Death to Khamenei!” referring to regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

“Death to Raisi!” referring to regime President Ebrahim Raisi. “Death to the velayat faqih (absolute religius dictatorship) principle!” referring to the mullahs’ regime in its entirety.

The mullahs’ regime has taken extensive security measures to prevent the spread of protests in various cities.
Several protesters have been shot dead or wounded in recent uprisings, but the regime has refused to disclose the news.

Saturday, May 14, Avaei, a regime parliament deputy from Dezful, admitted so much by stating, “the person who was killed in the recent rallies was not from Dezful (southwest of Iran) and was from Andimeshk (west of Iran).” Izadpanah, another regime parliament deputy from Izeh, also confessed that several young protesters had been arrested.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran(NCRI), said:

“People have risen up in the cities of Neyshabour, Hafshejan, Quchan, Shahr-e Kord, Ardabil, Borujerd, Faresan, Borujen, Shahrak-e Razavieh, and other cities in Iran”.
“The continuation of the protests with chants of “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to Raisi,” and resistance against the IRGC and Basij, heralds the dawn of final victory over the mullahs’ predatory and criminal regime”.
