Thursday, May 12, 2022: Several cities in Iran witnessed widespread protests against the skyrocketing increase in the price of bread and basic goods and the plundering plans of the government of Ebrahim Raisi.
People in Izeh protested against Ali Khamenei (supreme leader of the mullahs’ regime) with the slogan of “Death to Khamenei”. The repressive forces opened fire on the people, injuring several people.
The people of Dorud in Lorestan province expressed their anger and hatred towards the mullahs’ regime with the slogans “Death to Khamenei”, and the clashes between the youth and the repressive agents continued until late at night.

The people of Shahrekord, the capital of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, protested against the price with the slogans:
“Death to the dictator”, “Raisi, you’re a liar! Where are your promises?”, “Raisi, shame on you! Let go of the country!”, “We will fight! We may die! We’ll take back Iran!”

The people of Andimeshk in Khuzestan province protested against the high prices and the repressive force of the regime opened fire on the people. The youths’ clashes with the regime’s repressive agents continued for hours.

The people of Junqan(Jooneghan) in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province protested with the slogan:
“Raisi, shame on you! Let go of the country!”
The defiant youths in this city closed the road by burning tires and captured the anti-people mobilization base (The IRGC’ Basij force).

The regime cut off or slowed down the Internet to deal with protests in many areas.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran(NCRI), said:
“The people and youths have taken to the streets of Ahvaz, Andimeshk, Hamedan, Isfahan, Doroud, Tabriz, Tehran, Izeh, and Shahr-e Kord chanting, “death to Raisi and down with Khamenei.” They are engaged in hit-and-run battles with Bassij agents and revolutionary guards”.

“Young people in Jonaghan have raided and taken over a Bassij Base. Shooting and teargas can no longer break the protesters’ will to rid Iran from the clutches of the criminal mullahs, and establish freedom, justice, and prosperity. The fight will continue until victory!”
