For three months, Iran’s people have taken to the streets in nationwide protests. The protests, which began on September 16, 2022, have spread to 280 cities across the country. The people’s message is clear: They want nothing short of regime change.
The regime has responded with brutal repression. Security forces have killed more than 700 protesters. More than 30,000 others have been arrested. Two protesters have been executed. Dozens of others are under the threat of being executed.
As of 11:30 pm Tehran time on December 9, protests in #Iran have expanded to 280 cities.

But the regime has failed to break the will of the Iranian, the people. Iran’s youth are responding to repression with resistance. They are clashing with security forces with bare hands. They are burning regime buildings and icons in response to repression and execution.
Furthermore, they have been united across all ethnicities, religions, and walks of life. And they are determined to claim their rights after four decades of the mullahs’ rule.
There is no stopping the Iranian people’s uprising for freedom and democracy.
