December 30, 2025 – Anti-regime protests intensified across Iran on December 29, 2025, spreading from Tehran to multiple cities including Ahvaz, Kerman, Mashhad, Kermanshah, Hamedan, Karaj, Malard, and Qeshm (Dargahan), with student rallies reported at Tehran University.
Fueled by the Iranian rial’s historic collapse and rampant inflation, bazaar merchants, citizens, and students voiced outrage over economic hardship, oppression, and repression through bold anti-regime chants.
In Ahvaz, protesters chanted: “Khamenei is a murderer, his rule is illegitimate!” and “Death to Khamenei‘s deceit!”

In Kerman, people rallied in solidarity with Tehran, condemning worsening economic and living conditions.

At Tehran University, students joined the uprising with the chant: “A student dies, but never submits to humiliation.”
In Tehran, large crowds marched toward Toopkhaneh Square, chanting on Ferdowsi and Jomhouri Streets: “This year is the year of blood, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown.” Security forces deployed tear gas and fired shots in response.

Demonstrations also broke out in Mashhad (Saadi and Shohada Squares), where youths resisted anti-riot forces; and in Kermanshah, Karaj, Hamedan, Malard, and Qeshm, with merchants striking and protesters distributing leaflets bearing slogans like “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader.”
