Iran Uprising Day 14: Protests Spread to 190 Cities Despite Internet Blackout and Brutal Crackdown

Day 14 of Iran Uprising – January 10, 2026: Protests surge to 190 cities amid regime’s failed digital blackout.

Nationwide Uprising Enters Day 14 Across 190 Cities

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, the 14th day of Iran’s nationwide uprising saw protests expand to at least190 cities despite a 48-hour near-total internet blackout imposed by the regime. In Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Karaj, Tabriz, Ahvaz, and many others, demonstrators chanted “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to the dictator,” and “This is the month of blood; Seyed Ali will go down.” Students rallied at universities including Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran and Yazd University, while hit-and-run clashes and arson attacks targeted regime suppression centers.

Regime’s Digital Blackout Fails to Halt Momentum

NetBlocks confirmed Iran’s internet connectivity dropped to minimal levels for 48 hours as the regime activated its “digital kill-switch” to conceal the uprising and isolate protesters. Despite this, videos and reports surfaced showing ongoing protests, with regime leaders like Khamenei and Pezeshkian posting online while silencing 90 million Iranians. Protests intensified in cities like Tehran’s Saadat Abad, Ekbatan, and Punak, and in Zahedan, where demonstrators gathered post-Friday prayers despite heavy security.

Intense Clashes and Arson on Suppression Sites

Rebellious youths conducted hit-and-run battles and arson attacks on Basij bases, police stations, and Red Crescent depots repurposed by the regime in cities including Izeh, Mashhad, Nezamabad (Tehran), and others. In Izeh, protesters captured and torched the Red Crescent building and regime vehicles; in Mashhad’s Toos, Tabarsi, and Vakilabad, police stations and buses were targeted. Tehran saw clashes in 30 locations such as Punak, Saadat Abad, Ekbatan, Sattarkhan, Jannat Abad, Heravi, Shahrara, Tehransar, and Sattari, with fires lit and chants of “Mullahs must get lost!” resounding.

Tehran Night Battles and Nationwide Defiance

On the fourteenth night, Tehran neighborhoods including Nezamabad, Ferdowsi Square, Saadat Abad, Mirdamad, Chitgar, Yousefabad, Sattar Khan, Rahahan, Seyed Khandan, Khak-Sefid, and Narmak witnessed fierce confrontations with security forces using tear gas and live rounds. Protesters in Karaj’s Fardis, Golshahr, Pakdasht, Yazd, Qom, Fuladshahr, and western cities like Islamabad-e Gharb continued rallies, disabling surveillance and setting government buildings ablaze. Reinforcements faced roadblocks and ambushes nationwide.

Rising Death Toll and Regime Threats

The PMOI/MEKidentified 10 more martyrs from Chenaran and Lordegan killed by regime gunfire, raising the confirmed total to 54 over two weeks. The regime’s Attorney General threatened “Moharebeh” charges with death penalties for protesters, ordering swift trials without mercy. Suppressive forces killed, wounded, or arrested many during clashes across the 190 cities.
